Juan Pablo Busso is an Argentinian biologist-turned-data-scientist who has called Switzerland home for the past 13 years. After completing a PhD in Biology, he swapped cells and ecosystems for players and football pitches. For the past six years, he has been applying data science to the beautiful game at FIFA, where he is currently a Senior Football Data Scientist. Proof that career paths, much like football matches, rarely follow a straight line.
