SK broadband has redefined the standards of the communications and broadcasting market by launching the world’s first ADSL and Korea’s first IPTV services. It is now taking a new leap to become a comprehensive media platform by merging with multi-service operator (MSO) T-Broad in 2020 and launching multi-program provider (MPP) Media S in 2021.
Its unmatched content planning and production has bolstered the competitiveness of “B tv”, but SK broadband never remains complacent. In order to enhance customized media services, it is striving to develop new businesses, while also advancing strategic communications infrastructure, such as laying international submarine communications cables and expanding the IDC business.
SK Broadband has two main business areas—its media business offering its comprehensive media, and its wired communication business. It offers a wide range of contents based on customer needs and actively engages with customers through marketing to further strengthen its service competitiveness.
