After earning a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence, Romain led several projects focused on data monetization: designing climate forecasting models for power grid management, developing scoring tools for U.S. businesses and individuals, and launching the first data innovation projects at a startup that is now a member of the Next40. Recognizing that many strategic opportunities were being missed due to a failure to properly identify key data, he founded DataScoot to help companies fully harness the potential of external data. The company is building a comprehensive archive of global open data, updated daily and made actionable through artificial intelligence.
