Since 2015, Pierre Sutra has been a professor of computer science at Télécom SudParis, Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Previously, he was a junior researcher at the University of Neuchâtel, a postdoctoral researcher at Inria, and a research assistant at the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée. In 2023, Pierre was a visiting researcher at the IMDEA Software Institute and also worked for a time at Informal Systems. Pierre holds a Ph.D. from Sorbonne University. He works on the theory and practice of distributed systems, particularly cloud systems, data storage, and data processing. He is the author of approximately 50 articles in international conferences and journals.
