Mathieu Wellhoff heads the Sustainability and Consumption teams at ADEME, the French Agency for Ecological Transition. Specializing in the development of new public policies, he leads teams of about 20 people who build expertise on reducing the environmental impact of consumption, with a focus on the consequences of our digital habits. Beyond consumers alone, the work also focuses on new sustainable business models for companies (such as the functional and cooperative economies) as well as public policies promoting sustainability. ADEME supports the general public, local governments, and businesses on these issues through information and awareness campaigns, the implementation of pilot projects across regions, and the funding of innovation.
