Jean-Loup has been passionate about data analysis since 2009, first as a strategy consultant, then as a researcher working to improve the maintenance of Rolls-Royce aircraft engines, and finally as a data scientist in L’Oréal’s R&D department. In 2018, he joined Eramet’s Digital Transformation team to develop the Data Foundry, a team of about twenty experts—in analytics, data engineering, and data management—leading projects at the heart of Eramet’s transformation: optimization of metallurgical processes, environmental monitoring of mines, reduction of energy consumption, and more. Jean-Loup holds degrees in aerospace engineering (ISAE Toulouse, Imperial College London) and data science (MIT, Toulouse School of Economics).
