Dr. Gunay Kazimzade holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin, where her research focused on AI governance. She has worked as an executive advisor on AI across multiple German multinational companies (Siemens Energy, Mercedes-Benz, Zalando), as well as in academia, government, and policy institutions. She has been honored with the German Informatics Society’s AI Newcomer Award and a Presidential Award in Azerbaijan. She is an expert recognized by the Council of Europe and other international organizations, served as a contributor to its Ad Hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence during the drafting of the first binding international AI legislation, and has published at ACM AIES, CHI, AAAI, and other venues. She is the founder of multiple women-in-tech initiatives, a TEDx speaker with over 300 speaking engagements across 40 countries, and designs and delivers executive programs on AI leadership and governance across Europe.
