Anne Petitjean is a partner in the Real Estate team at the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in Paris. With nearly twenty years of experience, Anne advises clients on high-profile real estate transactions, including complex development, construction, and off-plan sales projects. She assists property owners, investors, developers, and tenants at every stage of project development, including on urban planning and land-use issues. She has developed recognized expertise in the data center sector, where she assists leading players with the establishment and development of their infrastructure, as well as with real estate and regulatory matters. Anne also has extensive experience in negotiating commercial leases. Having always chosen to advise both landlords and tenants, she takes a particularly pragmatic approach to complex negotiations and is skilled at identifying acceptable areas of flexibility for each party. Beyond transactional matters, Anne has strong litigation expertise in the area of commercial leases. This experience enables her to provide the best possible advice during negotiations by anticipating and managing potential risks, as well as by handling complex, large-scale lease structures. Anne also advises on issues related to renewable energy and real estate decarbonization projects with significant strategic implications.
