Ana Catarina De Alencar

The AI Collective
Ana Catarina de Alencar is an international legal scholar and ethicist based in Paris, specializing in the intersection of artificial intelligence governance, regulation, and philosophy. She is a Resident Philosopher at The AI Collective, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco dedicated to building a responsible future for artificial intelligence. Ana is a member of the Women in Digital Forum, an initiative supported by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content, and Technology (DG CONNECT) as part of the Connecting Women in Digital program, as well as Open Ethics and the Z-Inspection® Initiative. Through these engagements, she contributes to international discussions on trustworthy, human-centered, and responsible artificial intelligence. She holds a master’s degree in the philosophy of law and is the author of several publications, including the book *Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Law* (2022).
