Tech Show Paris, held on November 27 and 28, 2024, was its most memorable edition to date, bringing together five co-located events: Cloud Expo Europe, DevOps Live, Cloud & Cyber Security Expo, Data & AI Leaders Summit, and Data Center World. 

This year, the event featured 9 conference stages and more than 300 speakers, offering innovative content and cutting-edge solutions in the technology industry. With 94% of exhibitors already signed up for the 2025 edition, the trade show reaffirms its position as a must-attend event for those who want to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies. 

Among the five co-located events, the Data & AI Leaders Summit explored the role of artificial intelligence in democratizing data, enhancing customer experiences, and transforming human-technology interactions. 

Cloud Expo Europe highlighted innovations in cloud infrastructure and strategies for sustainable digital acceleration, while Cloud & Cyber Security Expo addressed cutting-edge cybersecurity measures and the integration of AI to protect systems. 

DevOps Live promoted innovative approaches to a forward-looking DevOps culture, while Data Center World focused on the sustainability and energy efficiency of data centers. 

Rhythm with the beating heart of technology

Artificial intelligence took center stage at the main event, titled “AI at the Heart of Tech,” with sessions led by industry leaders such as YSL Beauté, Auchan Retail, and Club Med. 

One of the highlights was Gilles Babinet's presentation on the second day, which offered insights into the transformative role of AI in the ever-changing technological landscape. 

Stéphane Bout, Senior Associate Director at McKinsey & Company, presented an exclusive report in the “AI at the Heart of Tech” theater. McKinsey’s annual barometer revealed that more than three-quarters of companies now use AI, with adoption of generative AI accelerating. Stéphane Bout shared best practices from top-performing companies investing heavily in generative AI, offering leaders strategies to drive innovation and productivity.

Roadmap for Investment at the Data & AI Leaders Summit 

The Data & AI Leaders Summit kicked off with a highly anticipated session led by Stéphanie Délestre, CEO of Volubile.ai and a cast member of the TV show “Qui veut être mon associé?” 

Moderated by Victoire Sikora, a journalist at Le Figaro, the session titled “AI Investment Strategies: A Roadmap for Executives” provided participants with a detailed approach to developing their AI investment strategies. 

The participants were captivated by the charismatic speaker, who extended the session to answer the audience's many questions. 

Optimizing costs at Cloud Expo Europe 

One of the highlights of Cloud Expo Europe was a session focusing on strategies for optimizing cloud costs while maximizing the return on technology investments. 

Moderated by Didier Meier, Director of Training and Partner at Ilki, the session titled “Cloud Cost Optimization: Best Practices for Maximizing Your Technology Budget” featured Guillaume Geraud, CEO and co-founderof ALEMCA; Eric Bustarret, Head of IT Architecture at Brittany Ferries; and Romain Blanjean, Head of Cloud at Canal+ Group. 

The discussion highlighted the importance of effectively managing cloud resources and using analytics tools to strike a balance between innovation and cost control. 

Inspiring leaders at DevOps Live 

At DevOps Live, the session titled “DevOps Leaders: The Impact of AI Strategies” explored how artificial intelligence is transforming DevOps practices. 

The speakers, including Léava Cohen, Creative Director at Women in Tech® France; Guilherme Antunes, Data & Analytics Project Manager at Clarins; Philip Gasser, Senior Solutions Engineer at Atlassian; William Nomichith, DevOps Expert at GENERALI; and Clémence Lesné, National Technology Lead at Microsoft, discussed the benefits of integrating AI into work processes, particularly in terms of automation and predictive analytics. 

Participants gained valuable insights into how these approaches can improve team effectiveness and decision-making processes. 

Protecting yourself against threats at the Cloud & Cyber Security Expo 

The Cloud & Cyber Security Expo featured an essential discussion on the unique challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses in defending themselves against cyber attacks. Moderated by Anne Perrin, cybersecurity expert at Women4Cyber, the round table entitled "Cybersecurity in SMEs" featured Abou NDiaye, cybersecurity expert at CEFCYS/Medef Yvelines, Dominique Bogé, head of the Prevention Department at UNCyber, Celine Redon, cybersecurity and data protection consultant at CLUSIF, and Emmanuel Gavache, CEO and President of Cabaceo.  

The session offered practical advice on how to strengthen SMB resilience despite limited IT security budgets, while ensuring effective protection in the face of constantly evolving threats.  

Seizing opportunities at Data Centre World 

At Data Center World, the session titled “Data Center Financing: From Necessity to Opportunity” examined the financialization of data centers. Moderated by Yves Grandmontagne, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Datacenter Magazine, this discussion brought together industry experts, including Louis Blanchot, CEOof Etix Everywhere, Fabrice Cousin, CEOof ULTRAEDGE; Yacine Saidji, Managing Director and Co-Head of Europe at Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners; Guillaume Bertin, a consultant at CBRE; and Melissa Cohen, a partner at Eurazeo.  

The session explored trends in investment models, the relationships between investors and project sponsors, and strategies for preserving sovereignty while working with a diverse range of investors. 

Highlighting Innovation 

Exhibitors had numerous opportunities to showcase their latest innovations. At the Data & AI Leaders Summit, companies such as DataStax—which highlighted its AI PaaS platform for scalable RAG applications—and Cloudera—which promotes digital transformation through real-time data analytics—presented innovative solutions that are shaping the future of artificial intelligence and data-related technologies. 

At the Tech Show Paris 2024, the German company North Data launched a French-language version of its platform, marking its first appearance at an industry event in France. 

With support from French Tech, the company AITIAL presented its AI tool, DATUXA, at the Tech Show Paris. This platform was designed to simplify artificial intelligence analyses, allowing users to perform analyses through an intuitive, code-free interface. 

Recognizing Excellence at the Tech Show Paris 

The Cybersecurity Awards, created in collaboration with the French Federation of Cybersecurity and Digital Solutions and Cybersecurity, recognized outstanding achievements in the cybersecurity sector. These awards celebrated excellence as well as the values of inclusion, diversity, and openness within the industry. 

Wiz received the Customer Service Award for its outstanding customer service, while NinjaOne was awarded the Jeune Talent prize for its innovative contributions in the field of cybersecurity. SoSafe won the CSR award, hailed for its strong commitment to social responsibility and sustainable business practices. Finally, Splunk was honored with the Cloud Security Award for its leadership in cloud security, offering cutting-edge solutions to protect businesses from constantly evolving threats. 

The Next-Generation Data Center Innovation Awards also recognized outstanding contributions to the industry. Janitza took third place in the energy monitoring category, TTK ranked second in the leak detection category, and Schneider Electric won first place in the racks and PDUs category. These companies were honored for their innovative solutions that drive innovation in the data center sector. 

Highlighting women and diversity in tech 

The Women & Diversity in Tech program emerged as a cornerstone of this year’s event. A highlight was the panel discussion titled “Inclusion at the Top: Toward Diverse Leadership to Transform Tech.” Moderated by Ayumi Moore Aoki, founding president of WOMEN IN TECH® GLOBAL, this session explored how inclusive leadership can drive innovation and equity in the tech ecosystem. 

The speakers included Maylis Staub, Director of Numeum and President of Nova in Tech at Numeum; Agnès Seuret, National Program Manager for France at AWS; Caroline Arpin, Deputy Director of the CYBERDéFENSE division at CAGIP; and Marie-Céleste Bagniakana, Communications Manager at Google. 

These thought leaders shared concrete strategies for promoting equitable representation at the executive level and for engaging underrepresented voices in the technology sector. 

The program also included a lively networking cocktail reception hosted and sponsored by Crédit Agricole in the VIP Lounge, providing participants with a platform to exchange ideas and forge meaningful collaborations, thereby further promoting diversity in the technology industry. 

Fostering Innovation and Collaboration 

The event showcased cutting-edge solutions from more than 275 exhibitors and startups, as well as a prototype of a next-generation, eco-friendly data center. 

Participants were able to network in dynamic spaces such as the coworking area and the exclusive VIP Lounge, extending discussions beyond the conference rooms and fostering enriching encounters with like-minded individuals. 

As a result, 1,230 pre-programmed meetings have been confirmed via Connect @ Tech Show Paris, offering attendees valuable opportunities to connect, collaborate and drive growth. 

These meetings facilitated meaningful discussions among industry leaders, exhibitors, and attendees, highlighting the event’s central role as an essential platform for promoting innovation and forging strategic partnerships within the technology community.
